Doug Chalmers, CEO
Doug has held a number of senior management positions in early stage companies, where he has been responsible for growing sales and building their brands. Most recently at RedCannon Security, Doug successfully launched an enterprise security solution that has become an industry standard. Prior to RedCannon, Doug was President of Pointsec™ Mobile Technologies where he was instrumental in helping Pointsec achieve profitability by increasing revenue by 250 percent, which ultimately led to their acquisition by Check Point Software. Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Pacific.
Ken Karakotsios, President and Founder
Ken is the designer and author of the award-winning software title SimLife, a mass-market simulation game used by millions worldwide. As an entrepreneur, he has focused on delivering powerful analytical tools to end users. He has led the business development, product definition, and implementation of enterprise decision support tools in marketing and project management, as well as in education.
Prior to co-founding DecisionPower, Ken was Principal Software Engineer at Maxis, focusing on new product development. Ken has also held positions at Apple Computer, Silicon Compilers, and National Semiconductor. Ken earned a BSEE with honors at Purdue University.
Dr. Steve Noble, Vice President of Software Development
Steve has been working with and designing powerful simulation tools for more than 20 years. His research experience spans diverse areas including neural networks, non-Bayesian reasoning, geometric algorithms, and quantum processes. Steve joined DecisionPower in 2004 and has led the development team of MarketSim during that time. His focus has been on expanding the scope of the software and in making the power of ABM and the MarketSim technology accessible to a wide audience.
Before joining DecisionPower, Steve worked in avionics, CAD, CAE, and 4D Construction. He has lead development and research teams at Boeing, Parametric Technology, and CommonPoint. Steve obtained his doctorate in mathematics from the University of Washington, specializing in the dynamics of random processes.
Dean Dubbe, Vice President of Finance & Operations
Dean's background has been heavily focused on strategy, operations, financial management and human resources for growing companies. He serves as corporate treasurer and secretary on DecisionPower's board of directors.
Dean was previously Vice President of Client Services and Operations at Omnibility, Inc., an enterprise-focused internet services and software development company. He also served as Director of Operations at Teltech, a knowledge broker service company founded to address the technical information needs of engineers, scientists, and marketing professionals. He holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota and an MS from Michigan State University.
